* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of Virginia, including the following counties and independent city, Alleghany VA, Botetourt, City of Covington and Craig and southeast West Virginia, including the following counties, Greenbrier, Mercer, Monroe and Summers.

* WHEN...Until 315 AM EDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Overflowing poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 912 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen. Another cluster of storms will cross the area late this evening bringing up to another inch of rain. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Anthony Creek, Allen Creek, Beckner Branch, Adair Run, Barbours Creek, Back Creek, Back Run, Beaver Branch and Beaver Creek. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Alleghany... Bluefield... Princeton... Covington... Clifton Forge...
