* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast Kansas, including the following county, Cherokee and southwest Missouri, including the following counties, Barton, Jasper and Newton.

* WHEN...Until 430 AM CDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1028 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Joplin, Carthage, Lamar, Baxter Springs, Webb City, Carl Junction, Galena, Oronogo, Carterville, Duquesne, Sarcoxie, Duenweg, Jasper, Golden City, Liberal, Leawood, Silver Creek, Alba, Purcell, Mindenmines, Shoal Creek Drive, Saginaw, Loma Linda, Airport Drive, Lowell, Nashville, Carytown, Fidelity, Asbury, Neck City, Lamar Heights, Redings Mill, Avilla, Grand Falls Plaza, Brooklyn Heights, Shoal Creek Estates, Reeds, Waco, Dennis Acres and Irwin. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
