......Heavy Wet Snow and Strong Winds Impacting Travel Overnight Into The Wednesday Morning Commute...... .Bands of Heavy Snow and Strong Winds move through central Wisconsin this evening and through the overnight. An initial wintry mix of rain and snow this afternoon will result in slippery, slushy travel conditions. A switch to snow this evening will accumulate on roadways with near a half inch per hour snowfall rates. Rapid reductions in visibilities are also likely within these snow bands. Overall accumulations of 2 to 6 inches are expected into Wednesday morning with narrow corridors of higher amounts possible. Increased winds of 35 to 45 miles per hour overnight will further travel impacts from blowing snow. Travel conditions can quickly deteriorate from rapid reductions in visibilities.
