Police Seek Help Locating 15-Year-Old Orange Girl Missing from Newark
Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help in locating Karla Lopez, 15, of Orange, who went missing from Newark on Sunday, March 24, 2024.
Karla, who is a frequent runaway, walked out of a restaurant on Ferry Street near Congress Street, following a disagreement with a family member. She is described as 5’6” tall and 160 pounds and was wearing a black vest, gray hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, and white Jordan sneakers. Karla is known to frequent Stuyvesant Avenue near South Orange Avenue, and Bruen Avenue near Springfield Avenue in Irvington.
Director Fragé urges anyone with information about the whereabouts of Karla Lopez to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
