Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help in identifying the below-pictured female suspect in connection with an assault that occurred on Sunday, March 24, 2024.
At approximately 11:55 a.m., the suspect entered a restaurant in the 900 block of Broad Street and began asking diners for money. The suspect also sat at a table without placing an order. When she was being escorted out of the restaurant, the suspect spat on the employee.
Detectives investigating this incident seek the public’s help quickly identifying this suspect. She is known to frequent the downtown area of Newark and is believed to be without an address.
Director Fragé urges anyone with information regarding the identity of this suspect to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
