* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of north central Maryland, including the following area, Washington, northwest Virginia, including the following areas, Clarke, Frederick VA, Northern Virginia Blue Ridge, Page, Shenandoah and Warren, and West Virginia, including the following areas, Berkeley, Hampshire, Hardy, Jefferson and Morgan.

* WHEN...Through Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected through Wednesday. One to two inches of rain is most likely, with localized amounts up to 4 inches possible. This may result in flooding of small streams and creeks. Flash flooding is possible. - Please visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood for flood safety and preparedness information
