Webster County in northeastern West Virginia... Southern Barbour County in northeastern West Virginia... Pocahontas County in northeastern West Virginia... Southeastern Ritchie County in northwestern West Virginia... Nicholas County in southeastern West Virginia... Gilmer County in north central West Virginia... Lewis County in northern West Virginia... * At 1144 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 9 miles north of Grantsville to 6 miles east of Arnoldsburg to 8 miles east of Clay to near Ansted, moving east at 65 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Elkins, Buckhannon, Weston, Summersville, Philippi, Richwood, Glenville, Marlinton, Sutton, Greenbank, Audra State Park, Webster Springs, Cass Scenic Railroad, Belington, Gassaway, Addison (Webster Springs), Mill Creek, Camden-On-gauley, Snowshoe, and Birch River. This includes the following highways... Interstate 79 between mile markers 43 and 104. Route 19 between mile markers 29 and 68. Route 33 between mile markers 1 and 35.

Instructions:

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 100 PM EDT for northern, southeastern, north central and northeastern West Virginia.
