For the Potomac River...including Paw Paw, Hancock, Shepherdstown, Harpers Ferry, Point of Rocks, Edwards Ferry, Little Falls...Minor flooding is forecast. For the Wills Creek...including Cumberland...Minor flooding is forecast. For the Conococheague Creek...including Fairview...Minor flooding is forecast. For the Monocacy River...including Frederick...Minor flooding is forecast.

* IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Water covers the pedestrian bridge adjacent to the Shepherdstown boat ramp. Significant portions of the C&O Canal towpath are flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:45 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 11.6 feet, or 3.4 feet below flood stage. - Bankfull stage is 0.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage just after midnight tonight to a crest of 19.0 feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall below flood stage Friday afternoon. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 19.0 feet on 05/24/1942. - Please visit weather.gov/safety/flood for flood safety and preparedness information
