Narrative:
In March 2024, an unidentified individual unlawfully entered a home in the city of Thousand Oaks, taking various items. The Thousand Oaks Directed Enforcement Unit (DEU) initiated an inquiry, eventually identifying Martin Gayosso as the primary suspect. Further investigation revealed that Gayosso was on probation with specific search conditions.
 
On March 28, 2024, DEU detectives successfully located Gayosso and conducted a search, during which they discovered him in possession of stolen property from the residence.
 
Gayosso was booked at the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility for residential burglary. Gayosso remains in custody with a total of $55,000 scheduled bail.
 
DEU is comprised of eight detectives, who focus on protecting East County communities by actively investigating illegal activities.
