The Town of Fairfield Emergency Management Team is closely monitoring tonight’s overnight storm. This storm is expected to bring heavy rains exceeding 2 inches and wind gusts exceeding 40 miles per hour or higher at times.  Coastal Storm Surge will make roads impassable  in low lying coastline neighborhoods during the hours around high tide at 7:30 pm Wednesday and 8:00 am Thursday. Coastal residents are advised to move cars from flood-prone low-lying areas during the high tide periods.  Scattered power outages are possible town wide.
