Full Notification

There are multiple road closures throughout the Township due to last night's storm. Please avoid the following areas:

Teaneck Road and Cedar Lane - East/West closed
Degraw Avenue by Woodbine - Closed both directions
East Forest - Closed between Summit and Arlington
Windsor Road - Closed between Briarcliff and Bergenfield border

The Teaneck Police Department has received and confirmed numerous reports of trees and wires down throughout the township.  Heavy rain and wind has resulted in power outages, blocked roadways, and other hazardous conditions. 

Please use extreme caution if you have to drive or leave the house for any reason.  Please contact the Teaneck Police Department if you observe any storm related emergencies.

PSE&G has been notified of all affected locations.  The time frame for repairs is unknown at this time.

Stay at least 30 feet away (at least two full pole spans) from all downed wires and keep others from going near them as well. Call 911 or call PSE&G at 1-800-436-7734 immediately. If possible, tell us the nearest cross street or the number of a nearby pole that has not been damaged and is away from any downed wires.
