The Randall County Grand Jury issued an indictment for Murder against Juan Antonio Salinas III, male 04-22-1997. He remains in custody on this charge. This is regarding the February 3 Domestic Violence Homicide of victim Cecelia Rodriguez, age 27.

On 02/03/2024, at around 2:25am, Amarillo Police officers were dispatched to the 4000 Blk of S. Ong in reference to a 911 call from a subject stating that a female had just been shot. When officers arrived, Cecelia Rodriguez, 27, was found deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. The caller Juan Antonio Salinas III, 26, was taken to the Amarillo Police Department Homicide Unit and interviewed. Salinas subsequently was arrested for on view murder and booked into Randall County Detention Center. The investigation is still ongoing by the Amarillo Police Department Homicide Unit.
