...The National Weather Service in Elko has issued a Flood Advisory for the following rivers in Nevada... Owyhee River near Mountain City affecting Elko County. For the Owyhee River...including Mountain City...elevated river levels are forecast.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt is expected.
* WHERE...Owyhee River near Mountain City.
* WHEN...From this morning to early Sunday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 8.0 feet, Minor flooding along the river channel.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 6:10 AM PDT Friday the stage was 7.5 feet. - Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet. - Forecast...The river will fall to 7.2 feet late this afternoon. It will then rise to 7.5 feet late tonight. It will fall to 6.2 feet Tuesday afternoon. It will then rise to 6.4 feet late Tuesday evening. It will fall to 6.2 feet Wednesday afternoon then rise again. - Action stage is 7.0 feet. - Flood stage is 8.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
