On Wednesday, April 3rd several representatives from the “Multidisciplinary Team”, which includes Detectives from the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office, Marion PD, Old Fort PD, South Mountain Children’s Home and Family Services, McDowell DSS, Department of Juvenile Justice and the District Attorney’s Office, enjoyed snacks at Lily’s Place in Marion in honor of April being National Child Abuse Prevention Month. This team was organized to allow all local agencies devoted to ensuring the safety of children in our community to come together and review cases on a weekly basis. We are proud of our group of Detectives who are willing to fight for those who are unable to fight for themselves!
