Reported Earthquake
On behalf of Haledon Mayor Michael Johnson, Haledon Office of Emergency Management Coordinator Carlos Aymat, Chief of Police Angelo J. Daniele, Fire Chief Tom Bakker, the Haledon Office of Emergency Management, the Haledon Police Department, and the Haledon Fire Department, we acknowledge the reported 4.8 earthquake activity that affected Passaic County, including our community of Haledon, around 10:23 am. Fortunately, there have been no reported injuries within our municipality. Additionally, we understand that a scheduled blast at Braen Stone Industries Quarry occurred at 10:30 am. We are maintaining communication with the Passaic County Office of Emergency Management and actively monitoring the situation for any developments.
