City of Sonora wildlife alert. 
Javelina spotted in town at the end of Poplar Street near draw under overpass. A citizen’s dog was attacked today. ACO Webb contacted State Trapper for Sutton County. State Trapper will be contacting Texas Game Warden on proper procedures to handle situation. Please contact Sutton Sheriff’s office if you spot the javelina.
DO NOT attempt to approach or capture the javelina. DO NOT discharge any firearms or projectile type weapons. Discharging weapons in city limits is prohibited. Citations will be issued.
