Mayor's Message on Earthquake

This morning we experienced the effects of a medium-sized earthquake. Our emergency services team including police, fire, and public works quickly assessed the South Brunswick infrastructure. I am happy to report that there were no major issues. South Brunswick Police Communication Center received sixty 911 calls in the 20 minutes after the earthquake struck. We are working with the utility companies that serve our township to ensure they are inspecting their infrastructure. In the meantime, I encourage residents to inspect their own homes, water, gas, and electrical lines for any issues. This week has seen some unusual weather from torrential rain to high winds, now an earthquake. These challenges we faced together as one community, and we will continue to work through any issues that come our way. I wish everyone to stay safe and good luck in your endeavors."
