...HIGH WIND WATCH IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY EVENING THROUGH SATURDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Southwest winds 50 to 65 mph, becoming west on Saturday
morning, with gusts up to 80 mph possible.

* WHERE...Central Aleutians.

* WHEN...From Friday evening through Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...High winds could move loose debris, damage property,
and cause power outages. Travel could be difficult.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds will increase Friday night out of the
southwest and are most likely to peak during the early hours of
Saturday morning. Although winds will begin to diminish later on
through Saturday morning, they will shift out of the west. This
is a favorable direction for strong winds in both Adak and
Atka, so it is possible that the strongest winds of the event
may instead be experienced during this time.

Instructions:

People are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown
around or damaged by the wind. Prepare for the possibility of
widespread power outages. Use caution if you must drive.
