Caltrans to close 55 Freeway connector starting tonight at 10 p.m.
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close the connector from northbound State Route 55 (SR-55) to southbound Interstate 405 (I-405) for 55 hours beginning at 10 p.m. on Friday, April 5 until 5 a.m. on Monday, April 8, 2024. The closure is part of a construction project to rehabilitate pavement on various connectors throughout Orange County. Detour signage will be in place to assist motorists.
Detour Information:
- Detour 1: EXIT northbound SR-55 at Baker Street. TURN right onto Baker Street. TURN left onto Red Hill Avenue. TURN right onto Main Street. TURN right onto MacArthur Boulevard. TURN left onto southbound I-405 on-ramp.
- Detour 2: EXIT northbound SR-55 at MacArthur Boulevard. TURN right onto MacArthur Boulevard. TURN left onto southbound I-405 on-ramp.
Please obey all posted signs and traffic instructions for the safety of all workers and motorists. Electronic changeable messages signs will notify drivers of the closures. The work schedule is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/or materials, and/or construction-related issues.
