REMINDER – The Santa Clara Police Department (SCPD) will host an in-person Community Meeting to discuss Assembly Bill 481: Military Equipment Funding, Acquisition and Use on Monday, April 22, 2024 from 6:30 - 8 p.m. at the Police Building (601 El Camino Real).
Subsequently, SCPD will incorporate input from the April 22 meeting in a Report to City Council planned for May 7, 2024 (#24-189). The Report to City Council will include the 2023 Annual Report which comprises of a summary of what is deemed military equipment and its use, complaints received if any, internal audits, the cost of such use, policy recommendations and other similar information.
