1. Robbery Arrest (1633) 7500 Block of Pacific Avenue, Lakeview District

The male victim, 34, was working in an area business when the suspect entered, stole merchandise, and left the store. The victim confronted the suspect, and the suspect brandished a knife and fled the area. The suspect was pointed out to officers, detained, and subsequently arrested after an in-field show-up. ARRESTED: Thomas Giles, 35, for robbery.

2. Armed Robbery (1939) 1600 Block of East Hammer Lane, Valley Oak District

The two male victims, 33 and 32, were in the listed area when the suspects approached, pointed firearms at them, and demanded their property. The victims complied, and the suspects fled the area. Responding officers later located the vehicle and arrested two suspects. Officers also recovered an illegal firearm and the victims’ property. ARRESTED: Josyah Day, 19, and a seventeen-year-old male for robbery and weapon charges.

The employee victim, 64, was working in an area business when the suspects entered. The suspects brandished a firearm and demanded money. When the victim showed the suspect that he had no money, the suspect fled the area. SUSPECT: Black male in his thirties.

4. Armed Robbery (2258) 6000 Block of North El Dorado Street, Lakeview District

The male victim, 24, was working in an area business when the suspect entered. The suspect pointed a firearm at the victim and demanded money. The victim complied, and the suspect fled the business. SUSPECT: Black male adult.

5. Assault with a Deadly Weapon Arrest (2304) 1200 Block of Buena Vista Avenue, Civic District

The female victim, 55, and the suspect were in an argument when the suspect pointed a gun at the victim and threatened to kill her. When officers arrived, the suspect tried to flee on foot and was taken into custody. Officers recovered an illegal firearm the suspect discarded as he fled from the officers. ARRESTED: Michael Garcia, 23, for assault with a deadly weapon, weapon charges, and outstanding warrants.

6. Homicide (0042) Wood Duck Circle and Quail Lakes Drive, Lakeview District

Officers responded to a report of a vehicle accident and located an adult male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced deceased by medical personnel. Detectives responded to assist with the investigation. There is no suspect information.

7. Person Shot (0449) 300 Block of South San Joaquin Street, Seaport District

The female victim, 48, was in the area when she was shot. The victim was transported to an area hospital to treat her non-life-threatening gunshot wound. There is no suspect information.
