April 5, 2024:

• Officers made contact with a subject in the 600 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. A 32-year-old male was arrested on multiple outstanding felony warrants. Charges will be sought on the male for possession of narcotics.
• Sergeant Ganzhorn and Sergeant Kruso conducted a traffic stop at Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Addison Street. The 58-year-old male driver was arrested on several outstanding misdemeanor warrants.
• Officer Elston visited with students at St. Mary’s Elementary.
• Officer Brooks attended the Kiwanis bike giveaway at Sharp Park Academy.
• Officer Vernier responded to the 200 block of North East Avenue for a warrant pick-up. A 34-year-old male was lodged at JSO on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
• Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of South Jackson Street for a domestic dispute. A 51-year-old male was arrested for violation of a personal protection order.
• Officers responded to the 200 block of West Biddle Street for subjects fighting. A 45-year-old female was arrested on several outstanding misdemeanor warrants.
• Officers assisted Blackman Township with an interview in the 200 block of West Mason Street reference a shots fired call.
• Sergeant Kruso made contact with subjects in the 700 block of Greenwood Avenue. A 49-year-old female and a 43-year-old female received citations for possessing open intoxicants. The 43-year-old female was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant and a misdemeanor warrant.
• Officer Brooker made contact with subjects in the 1000 block of North Blackstone Street. A 36-year-old female was arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
• Detective Klimmer and Officer Elston conducted a traffic stop near West Wilkins Street and First Street. A 21-year-old male was arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
• Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of South Mechanic Street for a breaking and entering in progress. A 27-year-old male was arrested for entering without permission, and malicious destruction of property over $1,000.
• Officers responded to Barberry Drive and Merriman Street for a hit and run accident. A 16-year-old male was lodged at JCYC for resisting and obstructing; carrying a concealed weapon; and receiving and concealing a stolen firearm.
• Officers were dispatched to a domestic dispute in the 1100 block of South Milwaukee Street. The 38-year-old male suspect left prior to officers’ arrival.
• Officers responded to the 500 block of West Michigan Avenue for a car that crashed into a residence. The driver was the male suspect from the domestic dispute on South Milwaukee Street. The 38-year-old male was transported to the hospital. Charges will be sought on the male for leaving the scene of an accident, driving while intoxicated, and domestic assault.

• Officer Albrecht made contact with a subject near Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Michigan Avenue. The 64-year-old male was arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
• Sergeant Ganzhorn and JSO Sergeant Ruge conducted a traffic stop at Franklin Street and Blackstone Street. The 52-year-old male driver was arrested on multiple outstanding misdemeanor warrants.
• Officer Debczak was dispatched to the 2400 block of Fourth Street for disorderly juveniles.
• Officers responded to the 300 block of West Wesley Street for a property security check. A 49-year-old male was arrested for entering without permission; providing false information to a police officer; and an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. Charges will be sought on a 37-year-old female for entering without permission.
• Officer Brooker made contact with a subject in the area of West Trail Street and North Jackson Street. The 60-year-old male was arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
• Sergeant Kruso conducted a traffic stop near Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Rockwell Street. A 21-year-old female was arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
• Officer Hogan made contact with a subject at Norfolk Street and North Bowen Street. A 63-year-old male was arrested on multiple outstanding misdemeanor warrants.
• Officer Schram was dispatched to the 300 block of East Robinson Street for a felonious assault. Charges will be sought on a 49-year-old male for felonious assault, and felon in possession of a firearm.
• Officer Mills observed a vehicle driving erratically near West Washington Avenue and South Mechanic Street, and conducted a traffic stop. The 41-year-old male driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
• Officers responded to a domestic dispute in the 300 block of Orange Street. A 35-year-old female was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant. Charges will be sought on the female for domestic assault.
• Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of South Blackstone Street for a personal welfare check. A 33-year-old male was transported to the hospital.

• Officer Soloman conducted a traffic stop in the area of East Michigan Avenue and Gorham Street. A 61-year-old male was arrested on several outstanding misdemeanor warrants.
• Officer Justice conducted a traffic stop at Fourth Street and Horton Road. A 33-year-old male was arrested for violating his parole conditions.
• Officers responded to the 200 block of West Mason Street for a disorderly subject. A 52-year-old female was arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
