Wilmington Police arrest four men in connection with March 23 shooting incident:

Wilmington Police have arrested four men in connection with a shooting incident following an investigation.

On March 23, at approximately 2:05 a.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the area of Columbia and Maryland Avenue, in reference to a shooting incident. Upon arrival, officers located a 15-year-old male gunshot victim, who arrived to the hospital in stable condition. The case was assigned to Detective Jessica Gledhill of the Criminal Investigations Division.

Through the course of her investigation, Detective Gledhill identified 19-year-old Antonio Eumana, 19-year-old Kenneth Gerena, 18-year-old Eliezer Aviles, and 18-year-old Jordan Ahamad as suspects and obtained warrants for their arrest. On March 26, police took Eumana and Gerena into custody without incident. On March 27, police took Aviles into custody without incident. On April 6, police took Ahamad into custody without incident.

Antonio Eumana has been charged with the following offenses:

  • Assault (First Degree)
  • Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
  • Conspiracy (Second Degree)
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $52,200 cash-only bail.

Kenneth Gerena has been charged with the following offenses:
  • Assault (First Degree)
  • Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
  • Conspiracy (Second Degree)
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $52,200 cash-only bail.

Eliezer Aviles has been charged with the following offenses:
  • Assault (First Degree)
  • Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
  • Conspiracy (Second Degree)
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $122,000 cash-only bail.

Jordan Ahamad has been charged with the following offenses:
  • Assault (First Degree)
  • Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
  • Conspiracy (Second Degree)
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $41,000 cash-only bail.
