INCIDENT: HS11370.1(a)- Possession of a Controlled Substance While Armed, HS11378- Possession of Controlled Substance for Sale, PC29800(a)(1)- Felon in Possession of a Firearm and PC30305(a)(1)- Prohibited to Own or Possess Ammunition.
LOCATION: Main Street/Hickory Avenue, Hesperia
SUSPECT(S): Christopher Randolph, 51-year-old, resident of Hesperia
SUMMARY: On April 1, 2024, at about 1:15 a.m., Deputy Contreras with the Hesperia Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Main Street and Hickory Avenue in the city of Hesperia. During the traffic stop, Deputy Contreras conducted a safety check of the driver’s person and located a loaded firearm in his waistband and approximately 53 grams of suspected methamphetamine in his pocket. The driver, later identified as Christopher Randolph, was found to be a convicted felon and out on bail for a prior charge of felon in possession of a firearm, along with 2 other felonies.
Randolph was arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center for HS11370.1(a)- Possession of a Controlled Substance While Armed, HS11378- Possession of Controlled Substance for Sale, PC29800(a)(1)- Felon in Possession of a Firearm and PC30305(a)(1)- Prohibited to Own or Possess Ammunition.
