UPCOMING ROAD CLOSURE

The Muskegon County Road Commission in cooperation with the Michigan Department of Transportation, has scheduled a road improvement project on Airline Highway from East Hile Road northwesterly to US-31 in Fruitport Township, Muskegon County.

The contractor has informed the Road Commission that work should begin on or after April 15, 2024 with anticipated completion on or prior to May 17, 2024. Start and completion dates may vary depending on weather and unforeseen circumstances. The 0.36 mile project will consist of Hot Mix Asphalt reconstruction including asphalt cold milling, pavement removal, hot mix asphalt pavement and pavement markings on Airline Road from East Hile Road northwesterly to US-31.

Airline Highway will be closed to through traffic. Non-local traffic, including traffic seeking to access US-31, must follow the signed detour and/or seek alternate routes. Access will only be maintained for homes and businesses within the project limits.
