Police Pursuit
On 04/09/24 at approximately 1:22 AM, a Janesville Police officer attempted to stop a vehicle for reckless driving in the community. The vehicle fled and the pursuit was terminated. The vehicle fled into Rock County jurisdiction.
A Rock County Deputy located the vehicle driven by Sean May and pursued it back into the City of Janesville. A Janesville Police Officer took over the pursuit which lasted for 15 miles. Tire deflation devices were utilized by the Rock County Sheriff’s Department on two separate occasions causing the suspect vehicle to become partially disabled.
A Janesville Sergeant was able to utilize a Pursuit Intervention Technique to disable the suspect vehicle in the 4100 block of South River Road. Sean May was taken into custody and transported to the Rock County Jail.
May was arrested by the Janesville Police Department. The Rock County Sheriff’s Department will have additional charges.
May is currently on probation for possession of child pornography.
