* WHERE...Portions of south central, east central, southeast, and southwest Mississippi, including the following counties in Mississippi, Simpson, Smith, Clarke, Jasper, Kemper, Lauderdale, Newton, Jefferson Davis, Lawrence, Lincoln, Marion, Covington, Forrest, Jones, Lamar, and Franklin.
* WHEN...From Wednesday morning through Wednesday evening.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Thunderstorms containing very heavy rainfall will move across the area Wednesday. Intense rainfall rates of two to four inches in a short time will be associated with the storms, and this could result in flash flooding.
