* Flash Flood Warning for... Caldwell Parish in north central Louisiana... Eastern Grant Parish in north central Louisiana... La Salle Parish in north central Louisiana...

* Until 1145 AM CDT.

* At 936 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing moderate rain across the warned area. Between 4 and 7 inches of rain have fallen since Tuesday afternoon. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area through 1145 AM. Multiple roads and bridges are covered in high water, with the rains expected to continue through late morning before diminishing. Flash flooding is already occurring and will continue through late morning. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Columbia, Jena, Olla, Clarks, Grayson, Midway, Urania, Pollock, Tullos, Georgetown, Standard, Burlington, Spaulding, Zenoria, Kelly, Nebo, Rogers, Catahoula Lake, Fishville and Riverton.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.
