Thunderstorms producing heavy rain are still forecasted to impact Covington, with 2 to 4 inches of rain possible. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain has already fallen. Street flooding occurs downtown, on highways, and in most residential areas.
Stay off roadways unless it is an emergency. Turn around, and don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Do not drive around high-water signs. Be aware of your surroundings, and do not drive on flooded roads.
