West Springfield, MA: In honor of Earth Day, West Springfield’s 250th Anniversary Committee is hosting West Side’s Annual Clean Up Day on Sunday, April 21, 2024. Volunteers of all ages are welcome.
The event will kick off at 11:00 a.m. at West Springfield Town Hall, 26 Central Street, West Springfield. Event organizers will provide volunteers with an assigned location for cleanup as well as trash bags, gloves and other necessary supplies. Information will be provided about where to leave collected rubbish and debris for pickup by the Town’s Department of Public Works the following day.
Clean up locations may be anywhere throughout West Springfield. As such, volunteers must have their own transportation. Pre-registration is recommended but not required: https://shorturl.at/bxM23
Previously organized by the Environmental Committee, the annual clean up event has been happening for many years. It is a great opportunity for those who are looking to give back to West Springfield through community service and to improve the beautification of West Springfield by removing environmental contaminants.
