Riverside Woman Arrested After Robbing a Local Business and Resisting Deputies

INCIDENT: PC 211 - Strong Arm Robbery
PC 69(a) - Resisting Officer With Force
PC 148.9(a) - Fail to Provide Name to Public Officer
LOCATION: 1500 Hospitality Lane, Needles, Ca
SUSPECT(S): Zaria West, 24-years-old, Resident of Riverside, CA
VICTIM(S): Dollar General
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at about 12:14 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the Dollar General Market in the city of Needles, in reference to a report of a robbery. Deputies arrived on scene and learned that the suspect, who was later identified as Zaria West, had entered the store and assaulted the clerk. West stole several items as she fled the store.
Deputies located West near the incident location. She assaulted deputies as she was being taken into custody. West was arrested for PC 211 - Robbery, PC 69(a) Resisting Officer With Force and PC 148.9(a) Failure to Provide Name to Public Officer. She remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail set at $50,000.00, awaiting a court hearing.
