Narrative:
An investigation by the Thousand Oaks Police Department led to the arrest of a vehicle pursuit suspect who fled from deputies on March 29th, 2024.

On March 29th, 2024, at approximately 2:30am, a Thousand Oaks deputy initiated a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle after observing the vehicle violating several traffic laws.  The driver of the vehicle failed to yield and accelerated to speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour.  The driver ran through several red lights before entering Highway 101, where deputies terminated the pursuit for public safety reasons.

Through investigative resources, the driver of this vehicle was identified as Jordy Carrillo.  On April 9th, 2024, detectives with the East County Special Enforcement Unit located Carrillo in the area of Channel Islands Boulevard at Rose Avenue in the City of Oxnard, occupying the same vehicle he used to evade law enforcement.  Carrillo was safely taken into custody and his vehicle was impounded as a result of being used in the commission of a crime.

Carrillo was booked into the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility on charges of 2800.2(a)VC, Evading with Willful Disregard.  Carrillo’s bail is set at $65,000, and he is scheduled for arraignment in Ventura County Superior Court on April 11th, at 1:30pm.
