Wilmington Police arrest two additional suspects in connection with July 10 burglary:

Wilmington Police have arrested two additional suspects in connection with a July 10 burglary.

On July 10, at approximately 8:14 a.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the 1200 block of East 13th Street, in reference to a burglary. The case was assigned to Detective Joran Merced of the Criminal Investigations Division. Through the course of his investigation, Detective Merced identified 37-year-old Bradley Berg and 26-year-old Kaitlyn Tongue as suspects and obtained warrants for their arrest.

On August 15, members of the Uniformed Services Division were in the 2900 block of Northeast Boulevard, when they observed Bradley Berg and Kaitlyn Tongue. Officers made contact with Berg and Tongue and took them into custody without incident.

The investigation continued, and the efforts of Detective Joran Merced led to the identification of 57-year-old Eric Mack and 31-year-old Tyaire Brooks as additional suspects. On February 8, police took Mack into custody without incident. On April 4, police took Brooks into custody without incident.

Eric Mack has been charged with the following offenses:

  • Receiving Stolen Property Over $1,500
  • Conspiracy (Second Degree)
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was released on $4,000 unsecured bail.

Tyaire Brooks has been charged with the following offenses:
  • Burglary (Third Degree)
  • Conspiracy (First Degree)
  • Theft Over $1,500
  • Criminal Mischief Under $1,000
  • Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was released after posting $18,000 secured bail.
