Flood Warning until 08:00AM Sunday

...The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh PA has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Ohio...West Virginia... Pennsylvania... Ohio River Near New Cumberland affecting Jefferson OH and Hancock Counties. Ohio River At Wellsville affecting Columbiana County. Ohio River At Wellsburg affecting Jefferson OH and Brooke Counties. Ohio River At East Liverpool affecting Jefferson OH, Columbiana, Hancock and Beaver Counties. Ohio River At Steubenville affecting Jefferson OH and Brooke Counties. .Heavy rains over the past 18 hours have resulted in significant runoff cAusing rivers to rise rapidly. These rises will be sufficient to cause these locations to rise above flood stage.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Ohio River at East Liverpool.

* WHEN...From Saturday morning to Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Water covers low spots near the concrete factory on River Road and Slate Road near the Ralston railroad crossing. At 16.0 feet, Water floods portions of River Road below the Route 30 bridge.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - There is no current observed data. - Bankfull stage is 14.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late tomorrow morning to a crest of 14.6 feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall below flood stage early Sunday morning. - Flood stage is 14.0 feet. - Flood History...No available flood history. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. To escape rising water, take the shortest path to higher ground.
