Full Notification

The Mahwah water dept. will be starting their fire hydrant flushing program on Monday 4/15/24 in between the hours of 9AM till 2PM  Monday thru Friday until further notice. We will be starting on two opposite sides of town, one side will be the West Mahwah area (Suffren border) & the other will be in the Fardale area closer to Wyckoff & Allendale borders, then working our way through the township from both sides. We will do our best to update the residents through Nixle & our Facebook page @ Mahwah DPW about our intended locations for a particular day. During the flushing you may experience discolored water for a period of time. Please RUN YOU COLD SIDE OF YOUR FAUCETS ONLY until they run clear. avoid doing laundry if you happen to be in the area of a street being flushed.
