Deputies Investigate Suspect Who Made Threatening Phone Calls to the Courthouse and Government Center

INCIDENT: P.C. 422(A) – Criminal Threats
LOCATION: 14455 Civic Drive, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Thomas Whitney Walsh, 44-year-old Resident of Riverside
SUMMARY: On Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 9:01 a.m., detectives from the Victorville Station began an investigation after a male subject made criminal threats over the phone targeting occupants of the Victorville Courthouse and the San Bernardino County Government Center.
The suspect, identified as Thomas Walsh, has a history of making similar threats to other government agencies. By approximately 2:00 p.m., detectives located and arrested Walsh in San Bernardino.
During the investigation, it was learned Walsh also attempted to contact the District Attorney’s Office in Victorville and the office of a United States Congressman. His identification and subsequent arrest were due to the immediate reporting to law enforcement. Walsh will be booked at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga once he is pre-medically cleared.
