LOCATION: 1400 Block of W. Broadway Street, Needles
SUSPECT(S): James Boen, 30-years-old, Resident of Clarksville, Arkansas
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Thursday, April 11, 2024, at approximately 09:17 a.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station / Needles Police Department responded to a report of an erratic male causing a disturbance near the intersection of Broadway Street and S L Street, in Needles.
Through investigation, it was discovered the suspect, who was later identified as James Boen, had damaged property at a local business before deputies arrived. Deputies located him in the area causing further damage to additional property. Deputies attempted to contact Boen and he attempted to flee on foot but was stopped by deputies. Boen assaulted the deputies as he was being taken into custody.
Boen was arrested and transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking. Boen remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amound of $210,000, pending a court hearing.
