* WHAT...Heavy snow and blowing snow occuring. Storm total snow accumulations of 8 to 12 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph will reduce visibility to one half miles or less at times.

* WHERE...South Slopes Of The Central Brooks Range.

* WHEN...Until 10 PM AKDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow will continue today with another 2 to 4 inches accumulation. South winds will turn north this afternoon and increase causing blowing snow. The strong north winds and blowing snow will continue into this evening and then decrease late tonight with visibility improving late tonight.

* AFFECTED AREAS: SOUTH SLOPES OF THE CENTRAL BROOKS RANGE
