Market St. Corridor Reconstruction & Streetscape Improvements
Phase 1 work has begun, and contractor staging is set up, trees have been removed, stumps ground, and light poles removed in anticipation for the start of the roadway demolition.
 
Throughout the week of April 15^th, in the north lane of Market Street, Upstate Companies will begin demolition of sidewalks.  Pedestrians are encouraged to avoid sidewalks being demolished and use available open sidewalks. During the week of 4/22 contractor will be installing light pole bases and conduit, and installation of catch basins and underdrain pipe. This will include some site demolition from S Main St to James Georgeson. Temporary street lighting is in place until new poles and fixtures are installed and connected.
 
The public should continue to utilize the detour routes.
