Owyhee River near Mountain City affecting Elko County. .Warm temperatures will melt high mountain snowpack and increase river flows. For the Owyhee River...including Wildhorse Dam, Wildhorse, Mountain City...elevated river levels are forecast.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by snowmelt is expected.
* WHERE...Owyhee River near Mountain City.
* WHEN...From this evening until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 8.0 feet, Minor flooding along the river channel.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:40 PM PDT Friday the stage was 7.1 feet. - Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet. - Forecast...The river will oscillate below flood stage with a maximum value of 7.8 feet early Sunday morning. - Action stage is 7.0 feet. - Flood stage is 8.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
