1. Assault 2nd /Intent with Deadly Weapon (D-Felony)
2. Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd  (D-Felony)
 
ARRAIGNMENT/BAIL STATUS: Mikayla R. Noack was processed at Amsterdam Police headquarters and arraigned in Amsterdam City Court by the Honorable Judge Lisa W. Lorman.  Noack was remanded to the custody of the Montgomery County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail. 
 
 
INCIDENT NARRATIVE: On April 13, 2024, at approximately 4:00 p.m. Amsterdam Police were dispatched to 48 Schuyler Street for reports of a male that had just been stabbed.  Members of the patrol division responded and located the victim with a stab wound to the chest.  The initial investigation reveals that the victim was stabbed with a kitchen knife by the suspect now identified as, Mikayla R. Noack, of Amsterdam.  It is alleged that the suspect used the knife during an argument causing physical harm to the victim while inside their shared residence located at 48 Schuyler Street in the City of Amsterdam.  The victim was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital and then transported to Albany Medical Center for further evaluation and has since been released.  Mikayla R. Noack was located by members of the Amsterdam Police Patrol Division on South Mathias Street and arrested on the above charges.
 
 
​The Amsterdam Police Department was also assisted by the office of Montgomery County District Attorney Lorraine Diamond in this investigation.
While there was probable cause for this arrest, all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
