Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide Investigators are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a male Black juvenile.
South Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to the location regarding a shots fired call. As they responded to the scene, deputies received an update of a gunshot victim at the location. Upon arrival, they observed a large crowd of juveniles dispersing.
The victim was found lying on the sidewalk with apparent gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local area hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Investigators learned there were multiple fights that occurred prior to the shooting. A person of interest has been detained.
