In celebration of Arbor Day, free tree seedlings will be available for Byram Township residents on Saturday, April 20, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The free seedlings will be handed out by the gazebo next to the playground at CO Johnson Park.

This giveaway is part of the New Jersey Forest Service’s “Community Tree Recovery Campaign,” hosted by the Township’s Environmental Commission in celebration of Arbor Day. 

Residents are invited to obtain their free seedlings, available on a first-come, first-served basis. Seedlings should be planted within two days after pick-up in order to prevent the roots from drying out.
