Marion Home Raid Results in 3 Arrested and Charged
Detective Richard Pittman with the McDowell County Drug Enforcement charged 34-year-old Mason Goforth with felonious Maintaining a Dwelling for a Controlled Substance, felonious Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance and felonious Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell or Deliver a Schedule I Controlled Substance. Goforth was issued a $30,000 secured bond.
31-year-old Shannon Mills was charged with felonious Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance and felonious Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell or Deliver a Schedule I Controlled Substance. Mills was issued a $1,000 secured bond.
49-year-old Terry Goforth was charged with Possession of Firearm by Felon. Goforth was issued a $20,000 secured bond.
A narcotics investigation began in October of 2023 when high drug activity was reported at the Goforths’ residence in Marion. On March 28th, McDowell County Drug Enforcement Detectives and SWAT team members from the Sheriff’s Office and Marion Police Department executed a search warrant on the residence shared by the suspects. The search turned up fentanyl.
