Dear Residents;

We have reports of down power lines and First Responders are on the scene, Please stay away from down power lines.

In case of downed power lines in Washington Township, please follow these safety guidelines:

1. Stay at least 30 feet away from any downed power lines.
2. Do not touch or approach the power lines.
3. Keep others away from the area and alert authorities by calling 911.
4. Avoid standing in water near the downed power lines.
5. Do not attempt to move the power lines or any objects that are in contact with the lines.

Please spread this safety alert to your friends and family in Washington Township to ensure everyone's safety.  Please report any down power lines to DTE (800) 477-4747.
