Upon arrival in the area, officers located the described truck and initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle. McQueen failed to yield to officers and fled from the area at a high rate of speed as he travelled through a residential area exceeding 75 MPH, without due regard for public safety. Due to McQueen’s reckless driving and the safety risk to the public, the pursuit was terminated.
A short time later, McQueen was located in the area, a second stop was initiated, and McQueen was taken into custody without further incident. The subsequent investigation revealed McQueen had been following the female who was jogging in the area and surreptitiously recording her. The investigation also revealed McQueen was driving while under the influence of alcohol.
McQueen was later booked at the Sonoma County Main Adult Detention Facility for violation of the listed offenses below.

A Suspicious Circumstances Report Leads to Felony Arrest
Incident Summary
On April 10, 2024, at approximately 6:45 pm, Petaluma Police Department officers were dispatched to the area of 4th Street and D Street, to investigate a report of a male in a black truck following a female while she jogged in the area. The truck was described as an early 2000 black Ford F-150 with the middle window on the back open. The driver was described as an adult White male, later identified as Jarod McQueen.Upon arrival in the area, officers located the described truck and initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle.
