In celebration of Earth Day, the Beaufort County Public Works Department is hosting a regional cleanup event on Friday, April 19.

Between 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., volunteers will be picking up litter alongside Beaufort County roads.

The areas where volunteers will be include:

• Highway 170 from the Broad River Bridge to the Highway 46 circle
• Highway 21/Trask Parkway
• Beaufort  
  • Boundary Street
  • Polk Street
  • Ribaut Road to First Boulevard
• Port Royal
  • Old Shell Road
• Burton
  • Castle Rock Road
  • Grober Hill Road
  • Burton Hill Road
• Lady’s Island
  • Sams Point Road
• Saint Helena Island
  • Lands End Road
  • Seaside Road
• Bluffton
  • Bluffton Parkway
  • May River Road
  • Burnt Church Road
  • Foreman Hill Road
• Yemassee
  • Old Sheldon Church Road
• Gardens Corner
  • Ramps
  • Portions of Highway 17 and Highway 21

We ask that you please take extra caution while traveling on Friday, April 19. Please reduce your speed in areas where volunteers are alongside the roads participating in the cleanup event.
