Wilmington Police arrest man in connection with multiple burglary incidents following investigation:
Wilmington Police have arrested a man in connection with multiple burglary incidents following an investigation.
On April 4, at approximately 7:31 a.m., police responded to the 100 block of West 11th Street, in reference to a burglary incident. On the same date, at approximately 9:28 p.m., police responded to the 200 block of West 9th Street, in reference to a burglary incident. On April 5, at approximately 2:35 a.m., police responded to the 200 block of West 9th Street, in reference to a burglary incident. These cases were assigned to Detective Kevin Nolan of the Criminal Investigations Division.
On April 5, at approximately 6:07 a.m., police responded to the 1200 block of North Washington Street, in reference to a burglary in-progress. Upon arrival, officers made contact with 37-year-old Nelson Norman, who was taken into custody without incident. Through the course of his investigation, Detective Nolan identified Norman as a suspect in three additional burglary incidents and obtained warrants for his arrest.
Norman has been charged with the following offenses:
- Burglary (Third Degree) – Four Counts
- Theft Under $1,500 – Four Counts
- Criminal Mischief Over $1,000 – Four Counts
