Wilmington Police have arrested a male juvenile and recovered a stolen motor vehicle.
On April 13, at approximately 11:58 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division were in the 300 block of North Clayton Street, when they observed a stolen motor vehicle. Officers attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop, at which time the vehicle fled the area. A short time later, the vehicle was located in the 500 block of Rodman Street, where the driver fled on foot. Following a brief foot pursuit, a 14-year-old male juvenile was taken into custody without incident.
The 14-year-old male juvenile has been charged with the following offenses in addition to traffic violations:
- Disregarding a Police Officer’s Signal
- Resisting Arrest
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was released on $2,000 unsecured bail.
