INCIDENT: Failure to Yeild, Felon in Possession of a Firearm
LOCATION: 36800 Block of Camarillo Ave, Barstow
SUSPECT(S): Francisco Manual Machuca, 33-year-old Resident of Barstow
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On April 10, 2024, Deputy Rivera with the Barstow Sheriff’s Station responded to a suspicious person call in the 36800 block of Camarillo. Deputy Rivera located the suspect, Francisco Machuca, in a red pickup truck. While attempting to contact Machuca he fled, and a vehicle pursuit ensued.
After a 10-mile pursuit, Machuca’s vehicle became disabled, and he was arrested. Machuca was found to be in possession of a stolen firearm. Machuca was booked into custody at the Barstow Jail for VC 2800.2(a) Failure to Yield and PC29800(a)(1) Felon in Possession of Firearm.
